ADJUSTING POSITION OF CONTACTS FOR LI-ION BATTERY CHARGING

  1. Remove the protective cover.
  2. Adjust the contact terminals of the charger to match the contact points of your battery. Slide the left and right contact adjusters until they are properly aligned with your battery's positive and negative terminals.
Note: The TC-U400 includes safety features, which ensure full and safe charging for each and every charge. Should you by chance insert the Li-ion battery in reverse polarity (the positive contact is on the negative side of the battery, and vice versa), the unit will detect and automatically adjust itself to ensure a full and safe charge.

CONNECTING THE CHARGER TO A POWER SOURCE

When the charger is first connected to a power source the LEDs will blink in sequence from left to right one time to indicate proper functioning.
The 1st LED will remain on as long as the charger is connected to a working power source. LEDs 2-4 are to indicate charging status. This is covered in the section "Charging batteries".

CHARGING BATTERIES Li-Ion BATTERY PACKS

  1. If you are charging or powering a USB device, please disconnect the USB device from the USB port before inserting the Li-ion battery pack.
  2. Pull back the slide lock.
  3. Place the battery so that it is completely inserted into the charging tray and battery terminals are aligned with the charger contacts.
  4. For larger or longer batteries, press and hold down the release button to extend the slide lock before inserting the battery.
  5. When the battery is properly inserted and contact is made, the LED display will indicate charging status, and begin the charging cycle.
  6. Secure the battery into place with the slide lock.

Note: Some batteries can be (or may need to be) positioned vertically.

LED CHARGING STATUS FOR LI-ION BATTERIES

Note: On the four LED display the leftmost LED (position #1) will remain lit whenever the charger is connected to a working power source.
